Miranda and Thomas

The Birchfields Love Story

From the start, Miranda and I talked about how she wanted her film to feel. We chatted a few times before the big day, and every conversation came back to one thing: the people. She wanted the table laughs, the little conversations, the quick squeezes on the shoulder, the way her best friend’s laugh fills a room. She wanted a film that would bottle that energy, something they could press play on years from now and be right back there with everyone they love. So that’s how we filmed it. At dinner, the tables turned into little worlds of their own, with friends leaning in and parents beaming. As the night deepened, so did the joy. The dance floor felt like a big group hug in motion, carefree, a little chaotic, completely perfect. We chased movement, found the tiny in-between moments, and let the celebration tell the story. In the end, this film isn’t a highlight reel of “pretty things.” Though Lowndes Grove certainly gave us those, it’s a love letter to the people who showed up for Miranda and Thomas and stood beside them.
